George Patrick
George grew up in the country close to Lafayette, Indiana, where he was 10-year 4-H member. He graduated from Northwestern University and received his J.D. degree from Valparaiso University School of Law, where he was the Student Bar Association President and served in other roles in law school.
With years of mentoring from James Schreiner, George decided to open his own worker's compensation office in 1999, applying all that he learned from James Schreiner and Sam Furlin. Determined to make a difference in the Indiana Worker's Compensation system, he pushed for change in the Indiana General Assembly and with different worker's compensation cases before the Worker's Compensation Board, Court of Appeals, and Supreme Court of Indiana.
In 1999, George was selected to serve on the Board of Directors of Workplace Injury Litigation Group for his advocacy on behalf of injured employees. Martindale-Hubbell ranked George as A-V. Since 2007, he was named a Super Lawyer in the state of Indiana for his representation of injured employees. George became a fellow of The College of Worker's Compensation Lawyers in 2015. This organization honors worker's compensation plaintiff’s attorneys, defense attorneys, professors, and judges nationwide.
George is also a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, Lake County Bar Association, Calumet Inn of Court, Lifetime Contributor to the Valparaiso University School of Law Review, Lifetime Member of the Indiana Horse Council, and Lifetime Member of the American Quarter Horse Association.
When not working, he has been active with his sons in all that they do, both scholastically and in their sports, enjoys traveling with his school teacher wife, and meeting new people.
